Had a few customers ask why I don’t offer “same day” consultations and treatments for new clients…
In 2012 the General Medical Council set out advice for aesthetic procedures.
It stated that clients must have a face to face consultation with the prescriber before any treatment to discuss their medical history and any medications, to discuss their expectations and also to discuss side effects and risks, in order to give informed consent.
Only after this has been done can the treatment be prescribed. I use MedFx who offer next day delivery and this brief delay allows clients 24-48hrs to go home and think about treatment in a non pressured environment.
Consent is so important and a hurried consultation and rushed treatment will not only not give suboptimal results, but is not good medical practice.
